Autunno alla Siciliana: A Taste of Fall - featuring Sara Sciammana

Nonna Mary and Debra are delighted to welcome guest chef Sara Sciamanna of Massimo's for a fall feast inspired by the cherished Thanksgiving traditions of our Sicilian family in New York.

Join us for our very first vegetarian cooking class experience, celebrating the beautiful bounty of autumn and the abundance of seasonal produce found at our local farmers' markets.

Growing up in our family, Thanksgiving was truly a feast for the ages. Never ones to skimp on a meal—whether it was a holiday, special occasion, or an ordinary Sunday—our family took Thanksgiving dinner to an entirely different level.

The festivities would begin with an elaborate spread of antipasti: marinated and roasted vegetables, cured meats, cheeses, honey, figs, olive oil, and freshly baked bread. From there, we'd move on to Nonna Cali's legendary stuffed artichokes, followed by Nonno Orazio's veal ravioli, generously dressed in his mouthwatering homemade ragù.
