About the event

Step into a Sicilian kitchen where stories are shared as generously as the food. This intimate, hands-on cooking experience is designed to bring people together while preserving the treasured family recipes and traditions passed down through generations.

Hosted by 83-year-old Nonna Mary, her daughter Debra, and local guest chef Patrick Claytor, this gathering blends old-world Sicilian cooking with approachable modern techniques in a warm, welcoming atmosphere that feels more like Sunday dinner with family than a cooking class.

Together, you’ll learn to prepare beloved Sicilian dishes from scratch — including fresh ricotta cheese, pillowy ricotta gnocchi, rich pork sugo, and a traditional ricotta dessert — while hearing the stories, history, and cultural traditions that have shaped these recipes for decades. Along the way, guests are invited to slow down, connect, laugh, and experience the joy of cooking and sharing a meal together. What to Expect:
